If you’ve never been to the Queens Museum of Art, you’re missing out on the largest, continuously evolving, to-scale (1”=100’) dioramas of NYC. Like many representations of New York, this one leaves the Twin Towers in.

Last 2 Buildings Standing (Prospect Heights)


Ratner’s Atlantic Yards project steamrolls ahead, with only two buildings still standing. The building on the right was nome to Daniel Goldstein, former chef de la résistance of Develop Don’t Destroy. Freddy’s bar was bulldozed a week earlier.

On the beach at Oso Flaco State Park we found a dead humpback whale. We don’t have a clue why it died, but it’s belly had burst and it was still oozing blood.
